Patrick Dalton

Patrick J. Dalton

Chief Executive Officer

Patrick Dalton leads GB Credit Partners, the investment management affiliate of Gordon Brothers Group. With over 20 years of exceptional credit and investment experience, his primary focus is maintaining and growing the debt portfolio. Prior to joining GB Credit Partners, he was President & Chief Operating Officer and Chief Investment Officer at Apollo Investment Corporation (NASDAQ: AINV).  His contributions were instrumental in the development and growth of the Apollo Investment Corporation which has made over $8.6 billion of investments across 165 portfolio companies since its inception in 2004. As President & Chief Operating Officer, he worked closely with the firm’s executive team on the day-to-day management of this publicly listed company including portfolio management, business and strategic planning, corporate governance, investor relations, capital structure management, staffing, portfolio valuation and fundraising. Earlier in his career, he served as a vice president of Goldman Sachs & Co.’s GS Mezzanine Funds. Prior to this, he was a vice president at Chase Securities, Inc. and The Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in Finance from Boston College.

Lawrence Klaff

Lawrence E. Klaff

Managing Director

Lawrence Klaff is responsible for the origination, documentation and management of structured lending investments for GB Credit Partners, the investment management affiliate of Gordon Brothers Group, and is a founding member of the structured loan team. Mr. Klaff started his career at Gordon Brothers Group in 1996 as a senior associate in the Appraisal & Valuation Division and was also actively involved in business development and marketing opportunities. He was later promoted to Vice President and began focusing primarily on structured loans and business development. In 2002, Mr. Klaff became a managing director, devoting more of his time to the structured loan team. Prior to joining Gordon Brothers Group, Mr. Klaff specialized in store planning and distribution for Filene's, a division of May Department Stores. Mr. Klaff is a board member and past chair of the New England Chapter of Commercial Finance Association (CFA), is currently an executive board member of the National CFA, a board member and president of the Northeast Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA), and a director of the National TMA. Mr. Klaff received a BA from Hobart College and an MBA from the Kogod School of Business at American University.

Gary Prager

Gary J. Prager

Managing Director

Gary Prager is responsible for the origination, documentation and management of structured lending investments for GB Credit Partners, the investment management affiliate of Gordon Brothers Group. Prior to joining GB Credit Partners in 2007, Mr. Prager spent 18 years at CIT as Executive Vice President, where he oversaw the national sales and marketing efforts for a variety of business groups. Mr. Prager’s career encompasses over 30 years of experience in corporate finance and lending, including senior-level positions with Heller Leveraged Finance and InterFirst Bank Dallas, now Bank of America, in their Corporate Finance and U.S. Corporate Lending Group. Mr. Prager holds a BS in business administration from East Carolina University and an MBA in finance from the University of North Carolina. He has completed the Advanced Executive Program at the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University as well as post-graduate work at the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business in finance.

Lisa Galeota

Lisa F. Galeota

Managing Director

Lisa Galeota joined GB Credit Partners in 2006 and is responsible for the underwriting, documentation and management of private debt transactions. Prior to this role, Ms. Galeota was a Vice President at GMAC Commercial Finance, where she was responsible for the due diligence, underwriting and documentation of asset based credit facilities. Ms. Galeota has had substantial experience providing financial advice to distressed companies in various industries as a senior manager in Tofias' Business Solutions Practice and as a manager in KPMG's Corporate Recovery Group. Earlier in Ms. Galeota's career she was a senior analyst in Gordon Brother Group's Appraisal & Valuation Division. Ms. Galeota received a BS from Syracuse University and an MBA from Bentley University.

Mike Cassetta

Michael C. Cassetta

Managing Director

Michael C. Cassetta is a senior investment professional with a breadth of experience analyzing and trading public securities across the capital structure. He joined GB Credit Partners in 2012 where his primary focus is private market debt underwriting and opportunistic secondary market investments.  Prior to this role, he was a portfolio manager with Pioneerpath Capital, an affiliate of Citadel Investment Group and was responsible for portfolio management, risk management, idea sourcing and analytics. Earlier in his career, Mr. Cassetta held positions at Davidson Kempner Partners and Heartland Industrial Partners where his responsibilities included the analysis and execution of various distressed debt and event driven equity ideas along with arranging and overseeing $4.5 billion of financing, spanning all forms of debt and equity investments. He began his career as an analyst in the Acquisition Finance Group at JP Morgan Chase. Mr. Cassetta holds an MBA from Harvard Business School with distinction and a BS in Accountancy from Bentley University.

Mike McNabb

Michael McNabb

Managing Director, Investor Relations

Mike McNabb is responsible for the management of the fundraising effort and investor relations activities for GB Credit Partners, the investment management affiliate of Gordon Brothers Group. He brings over 19 years of experience working with institutional investors and successful investment management firms. Prior to joining GB Credit Partners in 2011, Mr. McNabb was a founder and partner of Capital Allocation Partners, a consulting and marketing firm for institutional investment management firms looking to expand their business. He has also held positions at Citi Group Private Bank in Boston as Director of Investments and for 14 years at State Street Global Advisors, where he was instrumental in the establishment and growth of several new businesses. He is an active member of the Boston community, where he serves as a trustee of the Town of Lexington Retirement Fund and on the board of directors of the Josiah W. Hayden Recreational Centre. Mr. McNabb holds a BS in public administration and an MBA from Suffolk University's Sawyer School of Management.

Richard Edwards

Brian Keenan

Analyst

Brian Keenan is a structured loan team member and is responsible for the underwriting of debt transactions. Prior to joining GB Credit Partners in 2011, Mr. Keenan was an associate at Bank of America, where he focused primarily on underwriting transportation and general industry credit facilities. He also was an investment consulting analyst at Segal Advisors. Mr. Keenan received his BA in economics from the College of the Holy Cross and an MS in finance from the Sawyer School of Management at Suffolk University. He is also a CFA charterholder.

Michael Frieze

Michael G. Frieze

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

As Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Gordon Brothers Group, Michael Frieze sets the strategic vision for the firm. Mr. Frieze has served in executive positions at Gordon Brothers Group's companies for over 40 years. During his tenure, the firm expanded from a retail liquidator to a full-service provider of strategic business and capital solutions to healthy and distressed companies alike. Prior to joining Gordon Brothers Group in 1966, Mr. Frieze was a management consultant for Harbridge House and owned and operated his own consumer marketing business. Mr. Frieze exemplifies Gordon Brothers Group's commitment to community service by having served in top leadership positions on many community and corporate boards, including Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Greater Boston and as Chair of the New England Region of the American Technion Society. Currently, he is a Trustee of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a Trustee of Children’s Hospital, Chairman of Friends of Yemin Orde and a board member of Brandeis University. Mr. Frieze received a BA from Bowdoin College and an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management.

Jeffrey Bloomberg

Jeffrey C. Bloomberg

Jeffrey Bloomberg is responsible for overseeing business development efforts for Gordon Brothers Group's Retail Division. He is on the advisory board of GB Credit Partners, the investment management affiliate of Gordon Brothers Group. Mr. Bloomberg is an accomplished financial executive and recognized expert in retail mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining Gordon Brothers Group in 2002, Mr. Bloomberg worked in investment banking for nearly 20 years, beginning at Lehman Brothers and then serving 15 years on Wall Street with Bear Stearns, where he was a general partner and senior managing director for the retail and consumer products sectors. In addition, he was a member of Bear Stearns' Valuation Committee. Mr. Bloomberg is a current or former board member of the following public companies: Tweeter Home Entertainment Group, Inc., Nortek, Inc., RHI Entertainment Inc., Duckwall-Alco Stores, Inc. and Asahi-America, Inc. He has been active in a number of community organizations and currently serves on the boards of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Boston and Facing History and Ourselves. Mr. Bloomberg is a graduate of Dartmouth College and has an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Ozzie Street

Oswald C. Street

Chief Financial Officer

Oswald Street has over 20 years experience with various firms in the financial services industry. He joined GB Credit Partners in June of 2006 as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to that, Mr. Street was the Chief Financial Officer at Feingold O'Keefe Capital, LLC, a Boston-based credit hedge fund. During his tenure there, from 2002 to 2006, assets under management tripled to approximately $1.2 billion and the company personnel doubled. From 1998 to 2002 Mr. Street was the Chief Financial Officer of the Mt. Everest Fund, a $1 billion dollar long/short equity fund in Boston. For both of the above-noted funds, Mr. Street was responsible for all financial, operating and administrative functions. Mr. Street began his career as a public accountant with Coopers & Lybrand in Boston, where he practiced in the areas of financial service and real estate. He graduated from Syracuse University with a BS in accounting.

Julianne Hull

Julianne Hull

Chief Compliance Officer & Counsel

Julianne Hull joined GB Credit Partners in 2013 to manage the firm’s compliance program. She is responsible for the continued adherence to all SEC, federal, state and other regulations. Prior to her role with GB Credit Partners, Ms. Hull was an assistant vice president at HedgeOp where she assisted private fund advisers in developing and maintaining comprehensive compliance programs designed to meet regulatory requirements, incorporating industry best practices applicable to each adviser’s business. Prior to that, Ms. Hull was with Kirby, Noonan, Lance and Hoge LLP in San Diego, CA where she represented clients ranging from closely held corporations to publicly traded companies in securities, employment, intellectual property, and real estate litigation matters in state and federal court and before FINRA. Earlier in her career, she worked as an attorney in the Securities Regulation and Enforcement Group/Litigation Department of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver and Jacobson LLP, located in Washington, DC, where she represented hedge funds in governmental inquiries and investigations involving securities laws issues. Ms. Hull holds a B.A. in Psychology from Boston University and a J.D. from the Boston University School of Law. She is a member of the Massachusetts State Bar.

Dave Witherell

David B. Witherell

Director of Fund Reporting

David Witherell joined GB Credit Partners in 2008 and is responsible for all financial reporting for GB Credit Partners. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Witherell served as a consultant for over 10 years for both GB Credit Partners and Gordon Brothers Group's Retail Division in connection with various retail dispositions and reorganizations. Since 2006, Mr. Witherell has been actively involved in the development and implementation of all aspects of the accounting, tax and reporting process for the funds. Mr. Witherell has held several senior-level positions in the retail sector throughout his career, having held prominent positions at Foxmoor Stores (a division of Dylex, Ltd), Hills Department Stores, Price Waterhouse & Co. and as Chief Financial Officer of Cherry, Webb & Touraine. Mr. Witherell received his BS in accounting from Long Island University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
